Trivia: When Norman first calls into the radio show, he says that his name is Ed. Robert Bloch, author of the original novel "Psycho", based Norman Bates on real-life Wisconsin serial killer and cannibal Ed Gein.
Goofs: Plot holes: In Psycho II it is revealed that Emma Spool is his real mother and that Mrs. Bates was actually his aunt. Though in this movie it is implied that Norma Bates gave birth to Norman when she complains about her painful childbirth experience.
